Did you know that under Wisconsin State Statute, you should be posting an Equine Liability sign in a clearly visible location to help protect yourself from from legal action arising from equines being...well, equines!
The full statute 895.481, Civil liability exemption; equine activities, is not light reading, but is important to know about. The language of the statute dictates color of the sign and print, size of print on the sign, etc.
Wisconsin State Horse Council has three sizes of Equine Liability signs that are complaint with the State statute.

Signs may be ordered by completing the product order form and sending a check or money order, made payable to WSHC in the correct amount, to our office at 132A S. Ludington Street, Columbus, WI 53925. We regret that we are not set up to accept credit cards.
If you are from another state, we suggest you contact the Horse Council in your state to see if they have signs available that are compliant with your States statute.
